And boy am I happy to be here!!

I dont have the energy to write it out all pretty so Ill paste my husbands notes.

A's labor 20 Dec.

Checked-in @ 0740
Jan is the assigned nurse
IV started @ 0815
Jan checking orders @ 0820.
Pitocin started @ 0850
Cervix checked - 3cm dialated
Dr. Lackore checked, 2cm dialated
Broke water @ 1020
Epidural set @ 1235
Cervix checked @ 1300 - 4cm dialated almost 100 percent effaced, -2.
Fully dialated @ 1440, cleared to start pushing if the need is felt
Did a practice pushing run with the nurse, wimpy pushes!
Relaxed for an hour to let the baby drop more
Nurse said to push - 1545
Katelyn was born @ 1611
9 lbs 14ozs, 21 1/2 inches long
Very tiny cut on A.
Doctor said Amy was a 9 on a scale of 10
Doctor also said she did extremely well being that the baby was born sunny side up.

A appears to be doing well. She is already kissing the babies face off.

This sux. A has a lot of pain on her left side. The nurses are monitoring.

A's bp fell to 46/30, dr. Lackore was called back to help.

Doc did an ultrasound and found a large pool of Blood on her left side, he needs to do surgery immediately. She is stable for now after getting loaded with fluids. She is now in prep for surgery.

A was taken to surgery at about 2025. Now i sit here waiting, worrying, already missing her. I love her more than ever!

@ 2145 Dr. Lackore said the surgery went well. A's uterus had 2 radial tears that needed to be repaired. Her cervix was torn and was filled with a large blood clot. She will go to recovery soon and be there for about an hour.

2230, I fed Katelyn 18 ozs of formula. She spit up a little then went to sleep.

2335, A is being moved from recovery to the next holding room. Building 4 west rm 224.

2355, I was brought to A's room by the nurse, regan. Poor A's face is swollen from the IV fluids. She is groggy and in a little pain, but is doing much better than earlier.

It is now 0038 and A is sleeping. I am sitting here looking at her thanking God our family did not lose her. I love her so much and would do anything to take away her pain. It breaks my heart to see her suffer.

No induction today!

This is just getting ridiculous!

I was to call at 7am today to make sure the birthing center had a bed waiting. Well low and behold, they didnt!! I was to call back in 30 minutes. Still nothing.
About 1 hour later they called and told me after speaking to my doctor I was 1st to go in as soon as they had a bed so wait for the call.
At 12:00 my Doctor called. He said the place was a madhouse... there were still no beds. He told me to go eat lunch and we will do it tomorrow.
Since the hospital doesnt usually do inductions on Saturdays I am pretty much set to get a bed.
So... tomorrow is the day. Though, I am not holding my breath.
I am NOT having fun anymore.

My in laws have arrived

Again.
They just left here just over a week ago.

We really didnt expect to be pregnant this long but since we are my local family has gone to NY for the Holidays. That means we had no one to watch Emily during the birth.
So..... my in laws are back. Thanks goodness.


We are scheduled for another induction tomorrow... this one should work, since I will be 1 week overdue.

A Christmas Concert

Last night was my daughters Christmas Concert at her preschool. It was awsome! All of the kids did such a great job. I sometimes can barely control 1 3 year old and they seems to have it together with 200!

Happy Due Date to me!

Today is my due date, though I doubt this baby will bless us with his or her presence.

Kevin said we need to have this baby soon because mall walking seems to cost us about $300 a day! Ahh, the joys of Christmas shopping.

Today I dont think I will be walking. I have some things to do around the house.
We are giving it until next Friday. Then we may try induction again.
I can't stay pregnant forever, can I?

Still no baby!

I went in yesterday ay 730am for induction. I was 3 cm going in... the doc checked me at noon... i was a high 1cm. he couldnt even break my water. Contractions were 2 mins apart and horrible.

We decided to stop the pitocin at 6pm, I was wore out.
I went home at 7pm and my honey cooked me dinner, and I went to bed.

We have decided to wait it out. I wont go through induction again. I mentally cant go through that again.

We will meet this baby when he/she is ready.

We have a date!

And its tomorrow, Dec 9th.
I will be induced at 7:30. I am so relieved, yet so nervous! The doctore was willing to let me go another 10 days to see if labor would start. I dont want to give birth to a toddler!!!

39 weeks!

We are off the mall walk. This baby needs to come out this weekend!!

Weight estimate!

I had a weight estimate ultrasound tonight.
The nurse said the baby is about 8lbs 10 oz now but by the looks she thinks its even bigger. So I am looking at at least a 10 pounder if I go full term. We are now waiting to hear from our doc to see if he decided to induce.

I guess I should try to get some solid sleep tonight in case I have a busy morning :)

I may be a new mommy again this week!

I had my 38 week check today, though I am 38+3.
Im at 2cms and soft. My cervix is favorable for an induction. So I go Wed eve to see how much the baby is weighing and if its another big one they will induce me thurs of friday.
I am so over this pregnancy, even though it has been good, but the last 2 weeks have been extremely painful.
